Tears Into Strength.- poem from KFA UK South Coast

The years pass so quickly,
Yet the ache of grief still knifes the heart.
For the fluidity of life continuing, rushing in to fill the space left by one so cruelly torn from us,
Cannot ever completely fill the void.

Against the crushing inevitability of death, what can a soul do?
Save to leave as best they can, Heroic deeds as the breeze of their passing by.

There have been many towering figures of great achievement.
We knew such a man.
He firmly grasped the burnished torch handed to him,
And ran his proud lap in the race of history,
Before passing it on, flame burning brighter still.

It is our turn to carry the fire now.
We will be your living testimony.
We shall cherish your memory.
And as you would wish us to do,
Turn our tears into strength.
