In memory of the great Architect of a sovereign and independent Korea-Matheus Knupp, member of KFA-BR
It has been eight years since the great and outstanding Leader Kim Jong Il physically left us . A brilliant son of the working class who dedicated himself to his last moments for the sake of it, something unmatched in the world. Kim Jong Il lived closely connected with his people. In such a way that not even during the most acute tensions and provocations did he consider abandoning socialism - the achievement and greater good of the Korean people. Not even impaired health has been able to stop his energetic work for the people.
Kim Jong Il spent sleepless nights working fully to resolve all the problems that arose in the socialist construction. Always, like a great comrade and leader who honors his duty,
among people and listening to them. He made countless contributions to the flourishing
of Korea, was an outstanding artist who developed the most admirable songs and majestic monuments that perpetuate the achievements and all the battles fought by the Korean people. But as he says in his works, revolution is not a smooth and serene path because sooner or later, the hardships and new challenges appear. Following the unexpected and shocking demise of President Kim Il Sung, the imperialists conspired in the hope that they would see a new “perestroika”, in Korea, with the opening to capitalism and the end of socialism. However, Kim Jong Il fearlessly declared to the world the path he intended to say. Publishing valuable works on the scientificity of the victory of socialism and rejecting slander against it, he told the officials, "Do not expect any change from me!" This sentence, which provokes a great impact on the reader, shows the strength with which the Leader was determined to carry on the cause of the President, to lead the socialist cause to victory. Going through a sea of challenges in the
1990s without ever lowering his head, Kim Jong Il developed a small country, in which about 20,000 inhabitants, on a sovereign nuclear power. Self-defensive and determined to follow its own destiny. Resisting all sorts of external provocation, he held the red
flag high. Today, eight years after his shocking death, we see the fruits of his tireless
efforts. The legacy. A Korea that, despite being so geographically small, makes the
biggest power to swallow all its offenses. A country that, even under the harshest sanctions, grows rapidly and is studied and observed by many people around the world. A country where the popular masses are the protagonists of their history, the helmsmen of their destiny. A country that offers the best human rights unparalleled in any other country.
The indelible achievements of Kim Jong Il, his life and work, are for us, revolutionaries and progressives around the world, worthy of deep admiration, respect and inspiration in the struggle for socialism and peace. It is also proof of the inevitable victory
of the popular masses - of socialism.
Long live Kim Jong Il, the great architect and leader of the victorious Independent and
sovereign People's Korea!
Long live the Democratic Korea!
